Sugar Cookies - Just Flavour

This Sugar Cookies – Just flavour makes delicious soft and chewy cookies in under an hour with basic pantry ingredients!

These cookies are divine with Just Flavour Vanilla, but Salted caramel, raspberry, Strawberry and lemon sugar cookies are gorgeous too! Take a look at the Just Flavour range here!

Ingredients

• 115g butter (softened)
• 200g caster sugar
• 1 lg egg
• 5g Just Flavour
• 220g plain flour
• 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• pinch salt

Method

1. Cream the butter and sugar together in the bowl of a stand mixer (with the paddle attachment fitted) until pale and fluffy.
2. Add the egg and the Just Flavour and beat again until well combined.
3. In a separate bowl, sieve the flour, bicarb, baking powder and salt, then whisk to combine.
4. Add the dry ingredients to the egg, butter and sugar mixture and mix until just combined.
5. Use a small cookie scoop to portion the dough onto a lined baking sheet leaving 2-3″ between dough balls.
6. Chill for half an hour while pre heating the oven to 160c fan.
7. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes until they start to turn golden.
8. Allow the cookies to cool on the tray for ten minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Cookies will keep for up to 5 days at room temperature. You can freeze the cookies for up to three months and even freeze the raw dough in balls to bake straight from the freezer.
